Kerala Tour Package | Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey

Day 1 |   

You will be picked up from Kochi and proceed to Munnar. After reaching there you will enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Munnar.Munnar is one of the most popular hill stations in South India.  It is nestled in Western Ghats at an altitude of 6000 ft and is located in Idukki district of Kerala. This picturesque hill station beckons nature lovers from far and near. There you will visit Photo Point, Attukal Waterfalls, Echo Point, Pothemadu Point, Mattupetty Dam etc.. Large tea plantations, forests, hill ranges, valleys and wildlife make anyone fall in love with this place. Mattupetty dam and its reservoir is located 13 km away from Munnar.This concrete gravity dam is built between the hill ranges and it is used mainly for water storage for hydroelectric projects. Its reservoir is an idyllic place to enjoy the serene nature. It is also said to be one of thewaterholes where the elephants in the region often visit.. Mattupetty is also famous for the Indo-Swiss Farm. This is a highly specialized dairy farm which comes under Indo-Swiss Livestock Project. Hundreds of high quality cattle are reared here and new varieties are scientifically developed. At noon you will have your lunch and then proceed for sightseeing toEcho Point, which is about 15 km from Munnar. Go there and scream as loud as you can and wait for a minute. You can hear your echo back! Its quite interesting. If you have kids with you they will love it. You can experience this natural phenomenon firsthand. In the evening you will check in Hotel and have dinner. Over night stay Munnar 

Day 2 |  

After Breakfast you will visit  Tea museum is first of its kind in India. It is located at KDHP’s Nullatanni estate in Munnar. The aim of this museum according to its founders is to showcase the growth of more-than-a-century-old tea plantations in this region. Anyone visiting this museum will get a clear picture of how laborious this tea processing really is. Now you can have a glimpse of Attukkal waterfall; located between Munnar and Pallivasal. It is just 9 km away from Munnar. But this waterfalls will be in its full glory only after the monsoon (Rainy season). During other seasons, it is just a trickling mountain stream. Another attraction is the Blossom International Park, which is about 3 km away from Munnar town and it spreads over 16 acres. It is a peaceful location to enjoy a calm and relaxing nature walk admiring flowers and surrounding green hillside. The park offer many activities for tourists like boating, cycling, roller skating etc. You can then proceed to Pothamedu Point (6km from Munnar) offers an excellent view of the tea, coffee & cardamom plantations in Munnar. The rolling hills, the lush mountain and the breathtaking scenery here is ideal for trekking and long mountain walks. In the evening you will check out Hotel and proceed to Thekkady. You will check in Hotel in Thekkady and after dinner, overnight stay Munnar.

Day 3  | 

After Breakfast you will check out hotel and rest of the day for leisure, shopping etc. Thekkady is considered a heaven for natural spices such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and clove. You will visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which is the main attraction of Thekkady. Spread over an area of about 777 sq km with about 360 sq. km of which is thick evergreen forest, thesanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. However, the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary can also be recognized as one ofthe natural treasure houses of some of the rare species of flora and fauna. The splendid artificial lake formed by theMullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar remains the large herds of wild elephants that come down to the lake's edge. You will then proceed to Kumily; which is a very pleasant and warm town 4 km away from Thekkady, nestled between cardamom hills. It is an awesome tourist destination enveloped by tea and spice plantations, this town is a must-visit for the tourists coming to Thekkady. Tourists can enjoy typical Kerala cuisine in this town. You will have lunch at noon. Now you will proceed to watch breathtaking views of scenic spice plantations at Murikkady which is around 5km from Thekkady. Beautiful with misty mountains, enchanting valleys, cardamom, tea and pepper plantations, this tourist spot is exotic and beckoning. You will be dropped at Kochi.
